Steelton House Under Contract
After 3 months we found a buyer for our listing in Steelton. We have one other home for sale and two more coming to the market after Thanksgiving. There has been an upward trend in the Steelton area. UGI will be opening a new natural gas peak supply line that will be lowering natural gas costs during peak winter months. A new Skatepark was opened this summer which will bring area skateboarders together and provide some extra revenue to the Steelton area as the park is one of very few in the area. Skateboarders often had to travel to York or other areas outside of Steelton to find a park. "It's to bring people from outside communities in, and spark a little economic development to shops downtown, having something nobody in the county has," said Borough Councilman Mike Segina, who chaired the skatepark subcommittee.
Renaissance Row, located on six acres of mostly vacant lots on North Front Street directly across the street from borough headquarters. Is bringing new business to Front street in exchange for tax breaks. A grocery store, apartment buildings and retail space are planned for the project. After many years of struggling it will be great to see Steelton rebound. The community is needed some good news and I am glad to see the economy and the town revitalization is moving forward.
